Margarites (Greek: Μαργαρίτες [marɣaˈritɛs] (f. pl.)) is a traditional Cretan village in the Regional Unit of Rethymno. It belongs to the Municipality of Mylopotamos and is renowned for its pottery. Unique ceramic art is produced in its numerous pottery workshops. Clay vessels (pithoi) crafted in the Minoan style can still be found here.
